John Michael Studio is a luxury kitchen design studio and full creative partner for discerning homeowners and high-end homebuilders across the US and Canada. Specializing in handcrafted, marine-grade stainless steel cabinetry, their work spans indoor and outdoor kitchen spaces and encompasses everything from their Signature Line of custom kitchens to the Vox collection of custom vent hoods.
The Project
137 North was engaged to produce architectural video documenting a full-home John Michael Studio installation at a modern lakeside residence on Lake Norman in North Carolina. The home showcases the breadth of what John Michael Studio offers, with custom cabinetry installed throughout the kitchen, bar, primary bathroom, walk-in closet, laundry room, and four additional bathrooms.
Our Approach
Deliverables included drone photo and video of the residence as well as a 45-second lookbook-style video designed for social media that’s visually driven with no narration and built to communicate craftsmanship and design at a glance. The edit opens with an establishing exterior sequence with Lake Norman as the backdrop, then moves deliberately through each space, letting the cabinetry and the architecture speak for themselves.
